Foster Wheeler Global Power Group and Foster Wheeler Mexicana, S.A. de C.V., have recently signed a technical transfer license agreement that grants Foster Wheeler Mexicana the right to engineer, manufacture and sell HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) Foster Wheeler in Mexico. The agreement was signed on behalf of Foster Wheeler Global Power Group by Mr. David J. Parham, executive vice president of Global Sales and Marketing, and Nancy Qiu Vice President–Business Development Asia Pacific, and on behalf of Foster Wheeler Mexicana S.A. de C.V., Mr. Oscar Larrabure Infante Executive Managing Director and Mr. Adan Herrera Rodriguez General Manager.
The HRSG will be used to generate steam in both Public and Private Combined Cycle Power Plants and Cogeneration Facilities. The units can be designed to be coupled to any brand of gas turbines currently available in the worldwide market. Foster Wheeler Mexicana can begin engineering and production of the units at its manufacturing facility in Tecamac, Estado de Mexico.
Foster Wheeler Global Power Group and Foster Wheeler Mexicana, S.A. de C.V. have had a business relationship for more than 40 years, including a successful joint venture for industrial boilers, direct fired heaters, condensers, feedwater heaters, etc. The latest agreement will give Foster Wheeler Mexicana the right to use FW HRSG proven technology to make a significant impact in the private and public power generation sector where an estimated 10,000MW of capacity will be added in the next five years.
